Chinese Name: Lieque (English translation: Broken Sequence)

Location: On the radial margin of the forearm, superior to the styloid process of the radius, 1.5 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist.

Lung 7 is a key acupuncture point for treating cold and flu symptoms, including cough, sore throat, chills and fever, nasal congestion, headache, and stiff neck.

Regular acupuncture treatments are ideal for keeping your immune system strong throughout the winter. But if you learn where your Lung 7 is, you can supplement treatments with simple immune-boosting self-acupressure whenever you want – Press the point firmly or use a circular motion to massage the area.

 

Indications:

  • Head and neck problems: migraines (central and one-sided), headaches caused by exogenic pathogens, neck rigidity, facial paralysis, toothache, sore throat, cough, asthma, nasal problems.
  • Urogenital system problems: pain in the penis, hematuria, spermatorrhea.
  • Abdominal distention
  • Weakness of the thumb and index finger.
  • Master point – pair with KID 6: genitourinary and gynecological problems.

 

Functions: Releases the exterior, expels exterior Wind, helps descend Lung Qi, benefits the head and neck area, benefits the bladder.
